About the Area
Explore Salida
Salida, which means exit in Spanish, is an entrance to some of Colorado's highest country. It's surrounded by a dozen of the state's 58 14ers — mountains that are more than 14,000 feet high. Along with climbing visitors can enjoy white water rafting, fishing, exploring the Historic downtown area with plenty of art galleries, local restaurants, and local places to shop. From the Silver Ridge Lodge Downtown Salida is about a mile away. You can easily get there by car, walk, bike, or call our local taxi or lyft for a ride.
